London 360 - www.communitychannel.org This week's show is presented by Lauren Hawkins Student protests From the Arab Spring to the Occupy movement, 2011 has definitely been a year of protest. On Wednesday 9th November thousands took to the streets in a largely peaceful demonstration against the rise in tuition fees and government cuts. London 360 went along to uncover the root of the protestors discontent. Pirate Radio Unauthorised broadcasting, otherwise known as pirate radio, is as old as radio itself and has a greater presence in the capital than we perhaps realise. London 360 was interested to explore how relevant it still is in this new internet age and whether it still has a place in our community. They sent reporter Carina Nava Johnson to find out. Olympic London - Get Set Scheme One in eight school children across the capital are being given the opportunity to see the Games for free next summer, courtesy of the Mayor of London. However, it seems the scheme is not taking off as hoped. Reporter Abdullah Moallim went back to school in Ilford to find out why not. De drie Nederlandse sterren hebben voor de komende Europese Kampioenschappen hun krachten gebundeld en de voetbalsingle 'Ben je ook voor Nederland? (De Geluksvogeltjesdans)' opgenomen. De single, wat een bewerking is van de vogeltjesdans en geproduceerd is door Fluitsma & van Tijn, zal met recht het enige echte strijdlied worden voor het oranje legioen. Bij de opzwepende track hoort ook een hilarische videoclip waarin de voetballers van het Nederlands Elftal een prominente rol spelen. Zo hebben oa de voetballers Ibrahim Afellay, Mark van Bommel, John Heitinga, Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Nigel de Jong, Dirk Kuyt, Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart en Maarten Stekelenburg een belangrijke rol in de komische video. Naast het feit dat de videoclip een grote online hit zal worden is de track 'Ben je ook voor Nederland?' straks niet meer weg te denken van radio en tv aangezien het nummer gebruikt wordt in de EK-commercial van C1000.
