La 33 es una idea musical de los hermanos Sergio y Santiago Mejía, quienes comenzaron en 2002 a darle la forma que hoy conocemos: una orquesta de salsa inspirada en el formato neoyorquino con piano, bajo, conga, timbales, bongoes, saxo, trompeta, trombones y tres cantantes al frente.
