Second generation Pilates instructor Darien Gold demonstrates the Original Pilates Intermediate Mat Repertoire developed by Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates' principle disciple. Darien began her studies of the Pilates method with Romana in 1994 and continues their Pilates legacy by teaching her clients this brilliant system of stretch, strength and control. Two approaches of the Intermediate Mat are included here in this DVD. In one, you will see the full mat in a non-stop workout that includes all transitions. The second approach showcases the same 23 exercises and presents them individually so you can work at your own pace. Darien guides you with both audio and text cues including the correct number of repetitions. If you are new to the Intermediate Mat or are not familiar with the non-stop version, Darien recommends that you begin with the individual exercises, to give you the knowledge and confidence to tackle the non-stop mat workout.
