[CLICK HERE FOR SUPPLY LIST] You will need: 1 hardboard clip board with a sturdy clip. 1 sheet of felt large enough to cover the board (white is recommended) 1 hot glue gun + a few glue sticks 1 pair of scissors 1 ruler 1 marker (or pen/pencil) to mark the felt *4 rubber stoppers to prevent the board from sliding (optional) Follow the tutorial as shown in the video and you should have your very own felted clip board that will help you keep your strings in order without the hassle of a cardboard loom. You are supposed to make as many bracelets as you can before hand since you can only use this dye within 45 minutes of mixing it. (NOTE: I noticed it faded within 10 minutes.) I decided to dye the actual skeins of thread since I thought it would be adorable. You saturate the thread (100% cotton embroidery floss) in some water and then ring it out so it is damp prior to dying. So, I had a bunch of damp floss and the entire she-bang with the towels and bags and what not... The first three I did came out pretty vibrant... the next three were decent as well, by the third bath the color was muddy and then by the fifth batch which was the plain candystripe bracelet they were just very ...

Expand the description for more information: MATERIALS: Mini Wood Shape (rectangle) Thin cork sheet Torn office paper w/ permanent marker Distress Ink (Colors: Walnut Stain and Tea Dye) Metallic Brads for the decorative circles as well as the faux staples Adhesives: Scotch quick dry tacky glue, brush on crazy glue and super glue gel. Sealants: Diamond Glaze and Decoupage Gloss Sealer Spray I tacky glued the cork down to the wooden shape, trimmed the cork up and sanded it slightly to bevel the edge so it wouldn't peel up. I then decorated my ripped office paper with words (I love you) in permanent marker and some distress ink. I sealed the papers in diamond glaze and set them aside to dry. When dry I decided where I would place them and put some extra distress ink on the cork to make it look a bit 'older' then once I achieved a good darkness I super glued the paper down with brush on super glue. Once dry I cut the brads. I used the round decorative tops to serve as "push pins" and glued them down with gel super glue. I then used the backs of the brads and glued them to the paper to act as "staples" that are holding the paper to the cork. Once I finished it up I added a bit of minwax provincial stain to the back to make it look a bit more cohesive and then once dry I added my pin back with some super glue gel. TIP: Scuffing the metal of the pin back with something rough like a file or sand paper will help the glue stick. If you are adhering to a plastic or metal surface ...

This was my first resin piece. It was just a coating over a picture but it was still fun... plus some of you were asking for more recycled art ideas so I figured it was a decent idea that some of you biscuit lovers might be into. Once you pop your dough out just pull the tin ends off and give them a nice washing. (Some pliers might help to get out some of the residual cardboard that the tube leaves behind but I found most of them came off pretty clean.) So... who said there's no such thing as a free meal? Boyfriend and I bought these for under 5 bucks in a 4 pack (that makes 8 tins in total- one on each side) and the finished pin could probably sell for $5 to $10 dollars a piece. That profit would be enough for not only a free meal but may also be enough to buy you a free pack of gum to get rid of the onion breath acquired from said free meal... ^_^ NOTE: The biscuits I bought were in a very skinny tube. The tins are 2x2 inches. The larger biscuits or doughs are also an option for jumbo pins. I guess you could also use them for polymer clay things... like little polymer pins or maybe those figurines people love. I guess they could be earrings as well. Even with resin in them they are still very light... what would you use them for? Idea vomit is GO!
