A Grammy award winning producer of a slew of hits, owner of killer label Stealth, and a sell out residency on the Terrace at Amnesia every summer, we caught Roger Sanchez for his first set back on the island last night at Café Mambo. Presented by Dan Tait, the DJsounds Show is split into three 40 minute parts. Here we have Part 3, Roger Sanchez recorded live at Cafe Mambo, on theCDJ-2000's and brand new DJM-1000 filmed live with four cameras. Every Wednesday we invite different guests from 7-9pm CET into the Sonica Studio where we record the show and broadcast across the island of Ibiza on 95.2 FM. So vollzog sich innerhalb einer Familie, zwischen einem Vaters und seinen Söhnen, auf exemplarische Weise der Übergang zwischen dem, was man in der Musikgeschichte Barock und Klassik nennt. Gemeint ist die Familie Bach, und wenn Johann Sebastian als der große Vollender seiner Zeit gilt, gemahnt die Musik seines Sohnes Johann Christian bereits mehr als deutlich an Mozart, der diesen, wie er freimütig bekannte, sehr zu schätzten wußte. Die Musik des großen Thomaskantors hat der Hamburger Pianist Sebastian Knauer schon immer respektvoll bewundert und sich mit einem Bach-Album entsprechend Zeit gelassen. Um den unzähligen erhältlichen Einspielungen nicht einfach eine weitere an die Seite zu stellen, hat er auf der vorliegenden CD Klavierkonzerte der Bach-Familie kombiniert und einander gegenübergestellt. Um dabei zu einem optimalen Ergebnis zu kommen, setzte Knauer auf hochkarätige Mitmusiker. Da er selbst auf modernem Flügel spielt, passt das Zürcher Kammerorchester -- spezialisiert in Historischer Aufführungspraxis auf modernen Instrumenten -- ganz genau zu seinem Ansatz. Daß diese Aufnahme darüber hinaus unter der Leitung von Sir Roger Norrington stattfinden konnte, war ein besonderer Glücksfall, denn Sir Roger ist der neue Principal Conductor des ZKO und dies ist die erste Aufnahme des Ensembles unter seinem neuen Chef.
