For many in the world, Rabbi Michael Laitman is the leading Kabbalah expert. A Russian Refusenik who studied under the renowned Kabbalist Rav Baruch Shalom Ashlag (or Rabash) and later emigrated to Israel in 1974. Since then he has founded the Bnei Baruch Kabbalah Education & Research Institute. Rabbi Laitman gave a lecture at the World Arvut Convention and interpreted the Zohar, the primary literature of Kabbalah. He explains that Kabbalah is a method to connect man and the world and it isn't a mysticism or faith. He says it is meant for all people, and those of any religion can practice Kabbalah.
