The new remastered one for CD, which is the only one I can find, is overcompressed / brickwall limited. So the drums, especially the snare hit, doesn't sound as crisp and vibrant as it does here. Part of it could be from the vinyl, but I have many other Herbie recordings that aren't overcompressed and sound similar to the dynamics in this.
