First, he is half angel and half demon, so they kept the demon blood line. We don't know if Vergil is going to show up or not, Sparda is still his father, so Vergil might make an appearance. Rebellion is still his sword, it's just has the changing forms mechanic so that when he fights with his angel and demon abilities respectively it has different powers and forms. The only major differences in his person are his hair color, and the fact he smokes, other then that he is supposed to be cocky.
